Boxes Boxes Everywhere!

It's been a while since I wrote anything in the blog. We've been without internet for a few days. We won't have a phone until next Tuesday! On a positive note we spent our first night in the new house on Saturday! My little brother, Stephen, came up last Wednesday & spent 2 days & nights helping us pack up the POD. He was an enormous help & I am very thankful for his help! It is also nice that he is one of the very few people besides me & Zach that Charlie will go to & stay without hesitation. I find this funny b/c John Christian is also obsessed with his Uncle & he is one person we hardly get to see b/c he is so busy being a college guy!

Anyhow, for the most part we are in the house. There are boxes & things everywhere. I have total respect for professional movers who pack up stuff in one day & load it all into a truck the next. That is not the case with us & next time we'll have to wait 6 weeks on the movers b/c this is hard work!! ;) I think we'll be ok. Mostly there are a lot of odds & ends at the old house & then we need to figure out how to get the swing set out of the backyard. We close on Monday. So, this weekend should be super busy!

On a quick note : On Sunday Charlie poked Zach in the eye with his finger. He scratched Zach's eye. At the ER the dr said it was one of the worst he'd ever seen. He lit it up with a black light for me to see. It was about the size of this D & was in a funny shape. Zach was put on bed rest until today & given lots of percocet. As a matter of fact he got more pain meds than I did after I gave birth! That must be some painful cut on his eye!! The good news is that after 2 visits with the Opthomologist we think he'll survive. He went back to work today & hopefully will be back moving boxes tomorrow! :)

I also wanted to add that we are trying to convince John Christian to give up his crib & sleep in a big boy bed. Once he's asleep he stays in the bed all night. It's the getting him to fall asleep part that's hard. We'll just have to wait and see. Most parents fight to keep their kids in cribs & mine won't get out of his! I realize I should be grateful, but I just figure while we're moving he might as well start trying out a real bed. Plus, he really is potty trained & I want him to be able to get up & go at night if he needs to & not be trapped in the crib. Only time shall tell!

I'll write more later, but for now we are just crazy busy!
