Christmas With The Smiths

Saturday December, 30, 2006
We finally made it to Sylvania, GA for the Smith family to meet Charlie. Last year when we were supposed to go Charlie was sick and we spent the day in the emergency room while Zach and John Christian got to celebrate Christmas with Zach's mom's family. We were so happy that they were able to meet Charlie and see him in full Charlie form. The weather was again beautiful and we were able to spend most of it playing in the backyard.

Cousin Jacob started off the day by climbing up a tree.

Charlie wanted to run around as usual.
Thank goodness we were able to move to the backyard where there is a fence!

Charlie with Great Aunt Patty who doesn't look old enough to be a great aunt.

John Christian wanted to be just like cousin Jacob.

The boys played football in the backyard and had a grand time!

Catch!

Run Charlie! Run!

Ahhh... he got caught!

What a sweet little boy!

Even Charlie can kind of catch the ball.

Charlie and Jacob stopped throwing the ball around long enough to pose for some quick photos!

What handsome young men!

Great Aunt Fro doesn't look old enough to be a great aunt either.

Zach, Uncle Jim, & Aunt Patty

John Christian was insistant that we he put on all of his new protective gear.

Aunt Fro and Zach sure do look alike.

Here is a whole series of photos of John Christian.
I just think he and his brother are the best looking little boys ever.

Aww.... doesn't he just melt your heart!

This little guy isn't half bad looking either. Look at those beautiful blue eyes!

Charlie tried to escape through the crack in the fence.
I knew it wouldn't take long before he tried to run away. He does not like to be confined!

Doesn't Grandma Ree look Great!!

We tried to get a good photo of her with the great grand boys.

John Christian can be such a silly boy!

John Christian gave Jacob some money for Christmas.

Big Hug

Ok, this has to be the cutest thing I have ever seen! Grandma Ree got new blue jeans for Christmas. She is calling them her "Sexy Jeans" because they fit lower in the waist than jeans she's worn in the past. We got her to try them on for us and she was just adorable! I hope I look that good when I am a great grandma.

She got also got a new stereo for Christmas. She and Jacob danced for us in the kitchen. I wish I'd had a video of this great moment.

Charlie wasn't sure about opening his gift.

Once he realized it was a "Ca Ca"he got a little more excited, but then John Christian decided he wanted the car. Note the face in the following photos.

Charlie discovered the dinosaur that John Christian got from his cousin Jacob.
He absolutely loved it!!

Roar!!!

Bigger Roar!!

Charlie didn't want to be in the Smith Men photo, but at least I was able to get 3 JC's and Zach.

The boys really warmed up to Great Aunt Fro and thought she was a lot of fun.

Here are photos of the attempt to get a good picture of the Hyleman men with Grandma Ree.
