Christmas Night
After spending a quiet Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at Fort Bragg we headed to SC to celebrate Christmas with family and friends. On Christmas day we headed to Cameron and arrived around 3:30. It poured down rain almost the entire way, but when we arrived the sky began to clear.
The first place we went was to my grandparent's house because we thought all of the family would be there. We were right. Just about everyone was still there except my parents. We were able to say a quick hello to my aunts and uncles as well as give out Christmas Gifts and take a few photos.
We left there around 4:30 and headed to my parent's house where we opened a ton of presents and ate a great Christmas meal cooked by my mom despite a broken oven. Even though we did things a little differently this year it didn't matter. The important thing was we were all able to be together to celebrate Christ's birth and the many blessings we have as a result of that.
The only downer was that John Christian had the croup and was running a fever Christmas Night. Thank goodness for the nebulizer! It took a few days, but he finally recovered. However, his cough did continue at night time for a few weeks after Christmas, but after 4 days of antibiotics he was cured! :)Charlie was sick also, but luckily he didn't get as sick as his big brother this time!
Liz helped John Christian open his presents. Everyone was impressed that John Christian could read my name, Zach's, his name, & Charlie's.

Charlie got this little police car from YaYa and Col. All three of the boys loved it. Charlie had fun trying to show Thomas how to play with it.

Big Kiss!
We kept telling Charlie to be easy and gentle with Thomas. Each time we did he gave him a big ole smack on the lips. It was hysterical!!

Col was thrilled with his much needed Christmas present!
I still can't believe we managed to get it inside the van along with the dog, all of the presents, our suitcases, & all of us all the way from Fort Bragg.

"Revenge of Steve"
Each year we do something to honor our cousin Steve who had an odd sense of humor.
Zach won the prize of a pink flamingo this year which we will proudly display to honor Steve's memory.
