Going To The Zoo with Laura Grace

Since we had visitors we thought we would take them to our favorite place, the zoo!
It was warm out, but luckily there is lots of shade! We always see something different when we go. This time we were able to see the penguins! All three of the children were very interested in watching them swim.

Thanks again to Sarah for driving down from NC to spend some time with us!

Charlie and Laura Grace had fun in Molly's bed while we were getting ready to go to the zoo!

John Christian and I finally had an opportunity to feed the Giraffes!
If you've never done this you should because it is very cool!
I cannot wait until Charlie is old enough to feed them!

John Christian got to take some money he earned and use it to buy a ride on the pony!

One of our favorite parts of the zoo is riding a little tram that the boys call a train. We usually park in the Botanical Gardens so that we can ride the train over to the zoo. Today, I missed the exit for the gardens. I decided it wouldn't be a big deal and that we could ride the train to the gardens and back to the zoo because it wasn't very crowded. Somehow, I missed the sign that said if there were large groups of people at the Botanical Gardens everyone on the train would be kicked off. It wouldn't have been so bad if the zoo staff had been polite about it, but they were very rude! Anyway, after being forced off the train we hung out at the gardens for a while without strollers or diaperbags and finally made it back to the zoo. At least the boys enjoyed their train rides!
