Colonel's Birthday Party!

On Friday, July 24, 2007 we all gathered a few days early to celebrate Dad's birthday. The little boys had a fabulous time digging in the dirt while the adults enjoyed hanging out on Amy and John's new deck. It is always fun when we get together, and we can't wait for Zach to be at home to join us!

The caramel icing and I had a big fight! The icing won and was not exactly how I wanted it to be due to it boiling over before it reached the proper temp. However, my dad swears the cake was one of the best he's ever had and when it comes to sweets he's not one to lie.

Charlie wanted to blow out the candles by himself.

This photo is not the most attractive, but notice that Charlie shoved almost an entire piece of cake in his mouth. He LOVED the cake I made!
