Pie In The Face

Zach's battery held a great fundraiser for the soldiers. Of course it is a little silly because we can only raise our money from the soldiers and cannot solicit money for our group from outside sources. We can recieve gift cards and other donations. Example: We can raffle off the gift card or a tv to our soldiers or we can use the gift card to purchase party supplies or pay to take the children to Chuck E Cheese when their dads are deployed. Stuff like that. Just not actual money. Apparently some people got out of control after 9/11 raising a ton of money and then not using the funds properly. We use the money we raise for things like paying for pizza when we all get together, a Christmas party for the soldiers and their families, sending necessary items to deployed single soldiers, and so many other things. It is nice to be able to do things for these families who sacrifice everything and barely make enough to live above poverty level.
Anyway, enough about that. Here are photos from the fundraiser. One of the things they did was auction off the chance to put a pie in the face of certain NCO's and Officers. Here is Zach getting his pie in the face.

John Christian decided to back away. He wasn't sure about this whole pie in the face thing. He did get a good laugh at his daddy! We all did!
Charlie had a great time running around in the sunshine!
