Did he really say that?

In order to get on Post where we live you have to go through a guarded gate for an id check. John Christian's new thing is to hand the guard my id. The guard has a special machine that he scans my id card with and usually it beeps. If it doesn't beep John Christian gets disappointed. Anyway, Monday night John Christian handed the guard my id card through his window. When he gave it back to him John Christian told him, "Have a good night!" The guard thanked him and as we were pulling away with the window still down Johh Christian said, "And I hope you don't get run over!!" Zach and I could not stop laughing. It was one of the funniest things we'd ever heard him say.

Later, I called my family to tell them the story. John Christian was listening and decided to add more to the story. He told me to tell YaYa that he also said, "I hope you don't get rained on." What a fun little guy! It wasn't even raining. He has quite the imagination.
