First Cool Fall Day

On Saturday we got the boys dressed warmly and headed off in the drissling rain to Safety Day. I took John Christian last year, but we were late and missed most of it. There were lots of fire trucks and other cool things. We even got there in time to watch the UNC Medical Transport helicopter fly away. I didn't get any photos of the boys at the event because I was scared to take my camera out in the rain, but I can assure you John Christian especially was a very happy boy! Charlie and I may even have some hearing loss as a result of John Christian waiting until we got in front of the ladder truck to blow the air horns and sirens! Ouch!

This outfit was a huge hit. There is even a little frog hanging out of the back pocket. Several people stopped us to comment on the boy's blue eyes and on Charlie's frogs.
