A Big Boy Bike!

In the middle of April John Christian's Tricycle finally fell apart. First the back right wheel fell off on our way home from an afternoon walk. We fixed it, but then the left wheel broke off a few days later and could not be fixed. He had kind of out grown it anyway. So, off we went to find a little boy bike. This was the only boy bike in his size I could find. It is very heavy, but he is learning quickly how to balance up high and drive at very fast speeds. He is extremely proud of his new big boy bike!

I find the colors a little funny because they remind me of John's bike when he was around 8 or 9. He taught me how to ride it without training wheels and I think I still have a scar on my knee. At least I can say he refused to let me give up even if at the time I thought he was just torturing me. It is still a great memory I will never forget. We lived in Cameron in our old house. I hope that John Christian takes many fond memories of riding this bike in Cameron with him wherever we go in life.

My Very Big Boy!
I am constantly amazed at how you grow and become more independent each day!

He loves his helmet. Whenever he falls he says, "It sure is a good thing I had my helmet on when I crashed!"
