The Williams' Annual Easter Egg Hunt
On Saturday April 7, 2007 I took the boys to the Williams' Family's Annual Easter Egg Hunt in Orangeburg. They invite tons of children including those who attend some of the local preschools. There had to be more than a thousand eggs, a pony ride, jump castle, ice cream, baby bunnies, and more! It was wonderful!
Ashley, one of the children was my bother John's first girlfriend in kindergarten. We were also debutantes together where we snuck away from the ball for a little while and into a Black Family's Reunion where we partied on the dance floor in our all white dresses. It was the highlight of the night! I hadn't seen her in a few years and she now has a little boy John Christian's age. It was fun to see her and a few other people I hadn't seen who now also have children.

There were baby chicks & John Christian tried very hard to catch one!
Charlie wasn't too sure about the whole thing!

Elliott was able to catch one and give it to John Christian to hold.
The Expressions on his face say it all!
Margaret was also there and she and Charlie decided it would be much better to observe the chicks than to hold one.
Charlie loves his Godmother Melissa!
He let her take him off to the 1 year old Egg Hunt while I went with John Christian to the 3 year old Category. They said he had a fun time picking up eggs. They also took him to ride the pony, but he only wanted to watch. They got some photos that I will post if they e-mail them to me!

It took Charlie a little bit longer to warm up to his Godfather Elliott, but once he did they had a great time hanging out!
John Christian got over the Easter Egg Hunt very quickly once he realized that these eggs didn't have prizes inside. He began opening each egg and then threw them on the ground when they were empty. I ended up walking behind him and putting them back into the basket for him.
John Christian stuck to Miss Melanie like glue! He absolutely adores her!
Yummy Ice Cream!
Ice cream Mustaches
Charlie loved watching the pony. He tried to follow it around.
This was the 2nd time John Christian has ridden a pony. Zach and I took him last year at the Fayetteville Botanical Gardens. His facial expressions are priceless!
