Mr. Independant!
Zach is away this week training. Night time is always the hardest time of the day because the children need to be bathed, fed, medicated, read to, etc.... Tonight I was fixing a humidifier I purchased for John Christian who hasn't been sleeping and says his nose hurts. Anyway, while I was in the kitchen putting the water in the machine Charlie pointed to his sippy cup. I started to hand it to him, but realized it was empty and told him I would fix it as soon as I had free hands. I left the kitchen and went into John Christian's room to turn on the humidifier. A few minutes later in walked Charlie with the gallon of milk in one hand and his empty sippy cup in the other. He looked at both of them, looked at me, and then held them out for me to take. Poor little guy was thirsty and I guess he thought if I was too busy to get it for him right then or if I didn't understand he would just help out by bringing it all to me. I stopped what I was doing and poured his milk which made him a very happy little boy. (For the time being anyway because he is working on 4 molars! Ouch!)
