DOG

On Monday at preschool the teacher was reading a Spot the Dog book to the class. At some point D O G was spelled out in the book. The teacher asked, "Does anyone know what D O G spells?" All the kids looked at each other dumbfounded. Then, John Christian excitedly said, "That spells Dog!" It's a good thing the teacher was sitting down b/c I think she would have fallen over. She just looked at me & I told her I've been showing him this, but didn't know if he got it. She was very impressed!!

Of course what I didn't tell her is that it was probably a guess from him since they were reading a book about a dog. Later when we got home I asked him what D O G spelled & he said, "Me." That evening when Zach was reading him bed time stories he did spell BOY for us & told us that was boy. Maybe he does pay attention to me sometimes after all! :)
