The Beach

After a really long trip which involved a stop off I26 near St. Matthews to drop off Molly at the kennel the boys & I finally made it to the beach on Monday night around 7:15PM. Zach had to work as usual, but we had high hopes that his new boss would let him off for a long weekend & amazingly he did!
Zach made it late Wednesday night sometime after 11PM. He had to drive through what he called "National Geographic" lightening & at some point even spun his truck around & hit a road sign pointing out the direction of Charleston & Savannah! Thankfully, his guardian angels were looking out for him & there is only a medium dent in the bumper of the truck. It was the first time that Zach ever got to spend the night at the beach. He was able to come for a few hours 7 years ago, but that's it! His Col made a great first impression by giving him much needed time off to spend with his family. He is my new hereo & boosted my morale! The only thing that would have made it better is if his work cell phone would have been lost in the ocean b/c it rang quite a bit! The statement that the Army never sleeps is very true!
I'll just let most of the photos speak for themselves! The boys had lots of fun in the cool blow up pool that I brought for them! Charlie even warmed up to Thomas! I tried hard to get a photo of all three of them looking in the same direction! No such luck!
