Family Vacation At Folly Beach
The following photos were taken from Saturday, August 12 - Saturday, August 19, 2006. Our friend's Mary Katherine & Wes let us use their condo on the front row at Folly Beach. They wanted to do something nice for Zach since he went to Iraq & is now scheduled to go to Afghanistan in the winter.
It was our first official family vacation & only real time away since we got married. It was wonderful! I lived in Charleston for several years before we got married and it was nice to be there as a tourist. It was just like going home! Thank you so much to MK & Wes for sharing your home! You have no idea how much this meant to us.
YaYa, Colonel, Aunt Amy, Uncle John, & Cousin Thomas drove up to spend Saturday night with us. They all brought BBQ for Zach which was great b/c we don't get to eat SC BBQ that often.
Mom stayed Sunday night & kept the boys so that Zach & I could go on a date! We wadered around downtown & ate at Bubba Gumps. We went into Kaminskis for dssert, but I was dissapointed. It wasn't the same as I remembered from my college days, but I've grown & changed since then. The old college girl might have liked it. It was fun to go back and think about the past, but I wouldn't change being in the now with the boys for anything! :)

Thomas is now crawling all over the place! We were so glad he, Aunt Amy, & Uncle John came to spend Saturday night with us at the beach! It's been way too long since we saw Thomas who was just sitting up!
Charlie began to take even more steps at the beach! By the time we left he was almost an official walker!
