The Pink Flamingo

Ok, these are older photos taken at Charlie's baptism in January. We play a family game called "Revenge of Steve". On Christmas we all draw a peice of paper out of this Ugly Art Statue thing that was his & on it is something we have to do before the next Christmas. No one knows what anyone has to do.

Our cousin Steve died in June before my 21st birthday. He was a lot of fun & it is a great way to honor his memory. He loved to play practical jokes. One year we all got pink flamingos for Christmas.

This year my dad drew "Be Steve for a Day." So, at the luncheon after the Baptism Dad came out of a closet dressed as a pink flamingo. He had hot pink socks, gloves, pants, shirt, & hat. It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen him do in my entire life. For those of you who know my conservative father you should understand why him doing this in the church's social hall was so freakin' hilarious! :) I would have given just about anything to be in the Goody's in Orangeburg when he bought the hot pink pants & other articles of clothing! You go Dad!
