Special Prayers

I'd like to ask you all to say a special prayer for my Aunt Joanne. (JoJo to me)Last Wednesday my mom got a call asking her to come to Beaufort, SC. The doctor said he could give any information over the phone. He could only say that my aunt listed my mother as her next of kin & that she had just gotten out of emergency surgery due to a blood clot in her leg.

My mom has been in Beaufort ever since. She has been taking care of my aunts cats & dogs & trying to get her house ready for when she comes home from the hospital in addition to being at the hospital with my aunt.

A little information about my aunt: She completely amazes me! She has struggled with eye problems her entire life. She is considered "Legally Blind". As a result she isn't able to drive. She can read bold print with a magnifying glass, but it is still hard for her. She now has glaucoma. She has had problems with her knee & other parts of her body. She lives alone away from family & has for years. She is extremely independent & almost never asks for help. She substitute teaches & can always be seen at the polls during election time volunteering. She has an incredible memory! She always remembers me & my family year round by constantly sending little things to let us know she is thinking of us. These are just a few of the things she does. I could go on & on.

Why she needs your prayers: After nearly a week the test results finally came back. I am not even sure what all is going on. From what I understand she has 2 blockages. One is near her kidney. I can't remember where the other one is. I'm not that great with medical terminology. She is waiting on a bed at MUSC where they will do major surgery this week. She could end up on dialysis. She might not make it through it. However, on thing about my aunt is that she has 9 lives & is quite the fighter. If anyone can make it through something like this it's her.

Her spirit is awesome! She said if this is her time God will take care of her & she will feel no pain. If you speak with her she is extremely positive & you would never know she is sick.
Please say a special prayer for her! Say more than one if you can!
Thanks!
